We have to teach them that we are living in a falling world and they will find falsehood and level. We need to train them using the word of God how to discern what is right or wrong, beneficial or not to their lives

The world our kids are growing up in is so confusing. They are hearing so many mixed messages. When our kids stand up for what they believe that is lined up with Truth, they are called hypocrites. We need to teach them to always go back to what God says in the Bible. So often our kids are told well your truth is your truth and my truth is my truth. Actually, the only Truth is God’s truth. We are so good at twisting what we believe to fit our own personal desires.

It is getting more challenging for Christians to navigate today’s world and with its concerns to a me-first worldview and relativism with regards to truth. Our students need to firmly understand God’s truth and have a defense for it, so that they can think critically to what is being bombarded in today’s society.

There is a bombardment of information and opinions that our students come across every day. They need to learn how to discern what is true, what is biblical and what to disregard.

Students need to learn discernment because when they get out into the real world as college students, they will need to discern truth from partial truths or lies. They will need to be able to think through topics and compare them to biblical truths and be able to discern what they should accept or reject.
