Why is it important that we teach our students strategies for discernment?

It is important so that my students can be able to discern the big questions of life once they are faced with these challenges.

So that when we are not there to help guide them, they can determine what is true and what is of man.

It is important because outside our biblical worldview is the secular worldview. Students must be able to make the choice of what is of God and what is not. The world today is filled with emotion with no logic. Its important for students to use God’s Word as logic to battle the challenges and views that non Christians will try to indoctrinate into them.

It is vital to view the world through the lens of scripture and accurately discern reality from a BIblical worldview.

We need to teach our students strategies for discernment so when they go out into this world, they will have the ability to see this world through the eyes of the Lord. Students can use the knowledge which has been instilled in them through Christian education to be their compass as they navigate through this world into their future.
