Why is it important that we teach our students strategies for discernment?

To serve as their guidance in life, students must be able to decide and do what’s right in God’s eyes.

Like Dr. Black mentioned in the lesson, it is important to teach discernment so students are prepared and able to make wise decisions as young adults. They should know where to find the answers in scripture and how to use the Bible as a guide to life.

Because our students need to live in the world but not of the world.

these strategies will help students to decide what is wrong vs. right, what is relevant to daily life. The strategies will prepare student for the challenges in the future.

It is important so that my students can be able to discern the big questions of life once they are faced with these challenges.
