I remember as a young woman reading the Bible and wondering why women did not cover their heads. I asked a lady who mentored me and her response was something like, well if you want to be legalistic, you can. I was shocked because I want to obey God and His word, and I know that she did too. But that passage did not make sense to me. I want to be able to engage with my students on questions that they have–whether they are questions about Scripture or relating other topics to biblical truth. Students need to learn ways of answering these hard questions for themselves. -

Ephesians 4 teaches that we shouldn’t be children tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of people, by cleverness in deceitful schemes. Having strategies for discernment will create spiritually strong youth, who are stable with firm footing in their faith.
