In a world that is more confusing than ever in regard to what is right and wrong, we need to help prepare our students to ask questions and to evaluate what the world says is right and wrong versus what the bible says. The bible is our instruction guide for life and if the students aren’t in the word or aren’t familiar with what God says about the ways we should live, then they won’t see any value in reading the bible, attending church or even following God.

Discernment will help students throughout their lives, and it will help them make decisions that align with their faith in life situations.

Discernment is absolutely essential in our day and age. All ideas have consequences. There are many bad ideas floating around in our society at this very moment. Our students must wade through that daily, and they must be prepared to expose the lies that subtly craft these ideas.

it is important that we teach our students strategies for discernment, because it is our responsibility to train the next generation.

As an Educator and a Christian, if we are genuinely praying for God to use us, He will provide the right Biblical lesson that is facing our students. Have you ever prayed for God to help you and then your Scripture reading for the day aligns perfectly. That is how we are to be. We need to be looking for God’s direction and discernment when discussing Christian worldview and mindset along with teaching our students to use discernment in this world.
