When students graduate, they need discernment. Without it, they will not know what is right or wrong before the Lord.

Students should not fear other worldviews or opinions. They should be able to examine them in the light of the truth of Christianity and be able to distinguish truth from lies. This requires practice, and a Christian school is an excellent place to practice this.

It is important to teach our students strategies for discernment because the evil one is the father of lies. He is after our kids and our families and we have to give them what they need to identify lies and know the Truth!

It is important to teach them strategies for discernment because what they are experience in the real world isn’t always truth. Just because you read it online doesn’t make it true.

WOW! We live in a time where our students (and ourselves) are being inundated with “whatever” is right for you; there are no black and white answers anymore – whatever works for you, is fine.
We need to demonstrate and encourage absolutes. There are absolutes in this world. There are right and wrong choices in this world. We need to teach our students to not be afraid to research God’s Word and then stand on His word when discerning choices, opportunities, etc., even if we find ourselves standing alone.
