Why is it important to be prepared for attacks on our Christian faith?

We live in the world but are not of the world, and persecutions will come. It’s important to be prepared for when (not if) we come under spiritual attack.

It is important because our students’ faith WILL come under attack over the course of their lives: whether it be from a non-Christian college, working in a non-Christian environment, the media/ social media, etc.

because they will happen through all stages of our lives

It is important to be prepared because the attacks will come and we need to know how to respond.

The world is becoming more and more of the attitude of tolerance, but their definition of tolerance is “I am tolerant of what you believe as long as it doesn’t go counter to what I believe.” So we should expect attacks on our beliefs and faith. And the soldier does wait until the bullets are flying to get his armor and weapons ready. He has them ready before then enemy even gets there. So to, do we need to be ready and we need to be preparing our children to be ready.
