Why is it important to be prepared for attacks on our Christian faith?

It is not IF, but WHEN. Give the trajectory of our culture, it will be hard to follow Jesus and not face adversity and attack at some point. So, be prepared, stay close to Jesus and love unconditionally. If we are not prepared, then we will miss the opportunity afforded to us by the Lord to witness and honor the Lord.

The enemy will be ready with worldly arguments. If we are not prepared to give an accurate answer then it’s possible we will be dissuaded from the truth or further turn the person away from truth.

It is very important that we are prepared for attacks on our Christian faith because when we study the word of God we can have strength in the word of God to stand on His word and be confident that He will take us through when we are being attacked.

The attacks will come, whether from the outside or the inside. Sometimes our faith is attacked by others, but I think more often it begins with self-sufficiency that creeps in with the lie that God is irrelevant. Students need to know the world is not a place that believes or cares what God’s Word says. Although they may be surrounded by Christians, they need to understand that is an intentional choice by their parents for now, it will not always be the case throughout their lives. And it shouldn’t be. Once we have prepared and trained, we need to go build relationships with people who do not believe for the purpose of sharing the gospel.

Attacks on our faith can come at any time, from anyone, so we must be ready to defend our faith and not give in to the views of the world when we come under attack. We must stay consistent with our Biblical views.
