Because if we aren’t prepared the attack would reduce our effectiveness in spreading the Gospel. Being prepared involves remaining prayerful. We are instructed to be wise as serpents but harmless as doves.

By preparing for attacks on our faith, we come face-to-face with what we truly believe and are then ready to defend those beliefs because we truly understand and believe in them. Preparing for these attacks also allows us to learn what others believe so that we can empathize with them and be knowledgeable if conversations ever present themselves.

Today’s society is rife with individualistic thinking that pulls those of faith from their path. By being prepared for these attacks you are solidifying your relationship with Christ and strengthening your faith.

Because 1 Peter 5:8 says “Be sober, be vigilant because your adversary The Devil walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”

We are getting close to the end times, the evil in the world will attack Christians and our faith. We have to be ready to defend our faith.
