Why is it important to be prepared for attacks on our Christian faith?

I think it is important to be prepared, so that we can respond with kindness and love when it comes at us instead of with hatred or anger.

God tells His people to be prepared to give an answer to those who ask. He has also said that the world will hate His people just as they hated Him, especially religious people who are not in His family. As His people are called to be salt and light, obedience to Him (which He says proves love) requires standing for Him. He is Truth.

It is not a matter of if, it is when. In trying times is when non-believers are watching to see how we respond.

The Bible tells us to have the armor of God, knowing that our worldview will be attacked. Just like in a battle, if you do not have armor, you will be weak to attacks and succumb to them. Being prepared helps you weather any storm that tries to shake your foundation in Christ and shows others the power of your faith even in hard times.

We need to be ready for an attack at all times. We have to be able to defend our faith with the Bible and personal experiences.
