Because of the fellowship of believers worshiping God. Also, Heb.10: 22 tells not to neglect meeting together.

Being involved in a local church and evangelizing, the world, taken care of widows and orphans, is the intent of every believer as a walk in obedient to Christ, we work through the local church to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

I need the influence of other believers. I have gone without this for a time, and even now, my church is a small group of women who meet and study the Word.

The local church is a local assembly of the larger body of Christ. The spirit of Christ lives in the Church and is carried out by the local church. As a follower of Jesus, it is vital to be around other followers of Jesus for discipleship, worship, and encouragement in order to live out the life that we are called to live.
