Why is it important to do macro-observation of a Bible book before doing micro-observation?

Macro-observation is key because it is impossible to properly interpret individual passages or verses without first understanding the context or overall theme of the given book. As a matter of fact micro-observation is not possible accurately or correctly without first observing macro-observation. So each is dependent upon the other for correctly studying the Word of God. A microscope nor a magnifying glass will do.

For the Macro Observation, much of the book’s details are left out for the sake of developing a confident understanding of the text. The Micro Observation has more details than needed for an overview of the whole book.

We must understand the overarching context before we can do a deep dive
