When we understand the reasoning behind each Epistle, it helps us to be able to live our lives in the correct manner.

Knowing the issue is important so that we can see Paul’s reasoning for what he wrote, why he wrote it, and the tone he used to write it.

Understanding the issues is important, because we need to learn from the past. Similar issues arise in the modern day church, so his teachings are still relevant.

It gives us a guideline to follow when we run across similar issues in our life.

God gave us these Epistles to tell us how to live a revolutionary life so it’s important to know the particular issue Paul addresses in each one of them. The issues of the early church are the same issues we continue to face today.
