Each Epistle contributes to the broader theological themes of Paul’s writings, such as justification by faith, Christian conduct, and the role of the church. Identifying the issues helps in understanding these themes more comprehensively.

Each of the issues creeps into the modern church thus we should pay attention to how Paul addressed the issues.

Paul wrote some hard letters to the churches, pointing out immoral conduct. We have to understand that no one is without sin. Jesus died for our sins and we should ask him constantly for forgiveness. The problem comes when we don’t know we are sinning. If that’s the case we need to stand back and look at our life and see if we are living in the Christian life.

It gives us better understanding of Paul’s teaching. Furthermore, even if Paul addressed his Epistles to different persons and churches, the issues still resound in our generation today, the theological foundation and application are also useful for our daily living.
