Why is it important to know the particular issue Paul addresses in each of his Epistles?

Epistles were written to specific people in a specific context. When we don’t know the context, we are likely to misinterpret the teaching and apply it in ways that it was not meant to be applied. There are fundamental truths in each, but the message was specifically to address a particular situation. Not only could we misinterpret Paul’s words, we could miss some of the meaning that would be have been implied if the context was known.

This would allow the reader to see what challenges these people faced and how they were to overcome the evil of Satan and others who would want to corrupt the message—but having a roadmap to follow and a way to grow dairy and strength in the Lord and showing love, charity, commitment, willingness, and following the commands from God, through Paul, with some correction and rebuke.

Paul faced many challenges and even prison. These things would have affected most people, though Paul shows mostly Joy. These letters were to help the people involved to be better, watch out for false teachers, and understand the gospels. With encouragement, correction, rebuke, or warnings, all the time, keep the Lord Jesus in front. A way of living and a way to understand and follow what God had set up for them to be successful

So we can correct them in our own lives.

Context… if we start with the undying of these churches in Acts, and then we consider the purpose and issue in Paul’s writing these letters, we can get more understanding from the content of each section of each etter.
