It is important to know particular issues Paul had faced in the early church because it allowed us to learn how to deal with the same issues we are facing in our church today

Each Epistle, showed how Paul dealt with both the church and it’s leadership. This served as a template for the rest of the churches in that region.

Knowing the why helps us to understand and apply them today. There are probably churches to day whose name could be put into these letters and they would still hold true

Because it was consistent with the bible and what was being taught; that the gospel of Christ is the good news.

Because it gave us information how we should live and carry our self as leader of a church and at home.
