It gives sense to His teachings, and gives us a sense of His experiences in the region.

When reading about Jesus Christ’s Ministry it helps to see where Jesus was on the map when various events occurred because it helps us to understand the customs, why he faced certain challenges, and his different teaching approaches based on the culture and background of the people he was addressing.

It is important to us as humans to be able to know and see to some extent so that we can place His ministry in a real world.

It tracks his life. The events encountered at different locations are meaningful and certain events occur because of political situations ie Roman occupation. Important miracles/events are recognized as occurring in particular locations ie Mount of Olives, meeting the woman of Samaria shows Jesus interacting with a female, something not usually acceptable yet showing us that Jesus is beyond the norms of the times. Bringing his message took time and effort and energy as he spread his Father’s word. We meet him as God and human because of this.

It helps us to understand how he went about His ministry so that we can also connect to where He commissioned us to follow up.
