It’s good to know where the places that He went and who He ministered to. It was surprising to me that He went into Gentile territory.

We can understand that Christ was fully God and fully human when we understand that he went to actual places on the earth. It is helpful to locate these on the map.

It helps to understand where He spent His short 3 years, who He wanted to teach. For me it meant a lot to know that He spent half of His time with Gentiles. He wanted the message to go no only to the Jewish people, the chosen ones in the Old Testament, but to the whole world. Thank you Jesus .

One reason is that it helps show the universal (Jew and Gentile) scope of Jesus’ earthly ministry.

It helps us see his humanity throughout his travels, the people he encountered and the physical problems, such as hunger and thirst in the desert.
