Geographical knowledge enriches the study of the Gospels by providing a more comprehensive understanding of Jesus’ life and work.
-
He went for the lost, regardless of where they lived or who they were, even if considered “undesirable” by the larger communities.
-
Knowing the geographical locations of where Jesus went shows Jesus didn’t restrict his message to one area or a specific group of people.

It helps us understand that Jesus’ mission was to seek and save those who are lost. He didnt just stay in one area but he ventured out, knowing he would face rejection and hatred along the way, but loving us enough to still pursue it. He went to the areas that there were the many conflicts, non-believers, dined with sinners, etc.

It supports the accuracy of the Bible and its historical reliability. As readers, it also helps us to better understand and learn about Jesus and his ministry as we observe the culture in different places.
