Parenting is hard, and by supporting the parents and caregivers, we are supporting the children too.

God’s design for family is for the mother and the father to raise the children, but parents also need help. The saying “It takes a village to raise a child” comes to mind. As teachers, we can help equip parents with tools to advance their children’s education as well as their faith. We should have a mindset that we are a collaborative team with parents to optimize our students’ success.

When there is cooperation of parents and teachers together, the students will benefit and grow. Parents will better understand how to help their children at home. Parents also bring important insights to teachers to better understand their students.

Parents are primarily responsible for their children and instructors are supplementary.

The truth is that we are teaching and influencing the most precious person for them. They need to feel safe, supported and included in this process.
