We are made by Him and for Him, and therefore accountable to Him. (Colossians 1: 15 – 16). We find our purpose in the One who has made us. We have our true lives caught up and sustained with His. Our children, if alienated from the Scripture, will be alienated from what is true, the Truth, their purpose, and life itself. (John 1: 4; Colossians 1: 15 – 16, and John 14:6).

Scripture is God’s word, therefore it is the truth, so of course we what our children to read and know the truth. This is one of the simplest concepts in being a follower of Jesus Christ. I believe it’s impossible to know Him if you don’t know His word.

We must make sure that children know the word so well that it is hidden in their hearts and will be able to stand upon the truths of the word every day and in every situation.
