It is important to teach scripture to children because it teaches them about Christ and how to know Him and gain salvation. When Satan tempted Jesus, He quoted scripture to overcome that temptation, and it is important that future generations learn to do the same and be followers of Christ. Scripture also gives us the answers life, as was stated in the lecture, so knowing scripture will help children understand the answers to these questions from a Biblical and truthful perspective.

Scripture creates a foundation of chirst in the classroom. The Bible says for if you train up a child in the lord, he will never depart. Teaching scripture in the classroom, will provide a solid foundation for students to live by outside of the classroom..Scripture will develop a child into a productive citizen, that will be prepared for the hard questions about christ and know the evil of the world, compared to the truth.

Proverbs 22:6
New King James Version
6 Train up a child in the way he should go,
[a]And when he is old he will not depart from it.My sister always says that she will stuff her two kids so full of God’s word, that their cup is filled…filled to overflowing. Even when the world tries to pour it agenda in, it will find no foothold because God’s words and truth continue spilling out.

Scripture is the main resource in following Christ, the foundation. Scripture helps guide us along this Christian journey. Any question we may have can be found in the Word. It helps them understand who they are, where they come from, and where they’re going.
