Why is it important to teach Scripture to children?

Scripture tells us how to live. It is the ultimate guide for our lives. The Bible tells us to hide God’s words in our hearts. When we memorize scriptures, they come to light at the time that we (and others!) need it, and we have working knowledge of what God wants us to do.

They may not use it when they are younger, but as they get older those verses can be recalled and applied to situations in life.

Because Scripture is foundational to our faith! The Bible says to “train up a child in the way he should go.” We must teach God’s Word to our children!

First, children are generally open to a biblical worldview. Second, it protects them from the falsehood of the world.

Truth is based in scripture. Knowledge comes back to God’s word.
