It is their main pat to God, and the only way to teach them what He wants for us.

It is important because the Bible specifically says that we are to hide God’s word in out heart. Even Christ quoted scripture in his teachings.

Bring children up right and they will not depart from it.

Scripture is the Word of God. It is often at our older student’s fingertips. Scripture isn’t the backdrop of our faith it is the framework, the words God has given us and them to live by.
