Why is it important to teach Scripture to children?

Deleted User11/19/2021 at 11:17The primary reason is that God commands it. However, in a very practical sense, Scripture is their foundation source for all truth. Only these truths will work consistently in the real world.

Deleted User11/08/2021 at 18:49Because we want to teach truth, and we know the Bible has no error. It is a great source of wisdom and to be honest, an incredible source common sense too.
It is important to teach that while the Bible was written thousand years ago, it is as relevant as it was back there.
Ultimately we want the souls of our students to be saved and know have a personal relationship with their Creator, and the answers are right there. -

Deleted User10/26/2021 at 13:58It is important to teach Scripture to children because we are called to bring up a child in “the Way”, so when they are old they will not depart from it.

Deleted User10/19/2021 at 05:06As Christian teachers, we have the responsibility to bring students to Christ and teach students about the Biblical truths in school. I have some friends who came from a non-Christian background but converted and devoted their lives to Christ because they have been educated in a Christian school. It is a living proof of how instilling the word of God can make such a difference. As children do not know right from wrong, it is important to introduce them to the Biblical truth which will hopefully be the foundation when they grow up.

Deleted User10/16/2021 at 10:53Scripture makes up our worldview. It is the Christian’s answer to the framework questions of philosophy. While raising our students up in a biblical worldview, it only make sense that we permeate their education with Scripture. When the students, and teachers, have the Word of God in our worldview, we have an unshakeable foundation.
