If I had had a support group when we lost our baby, it would have been good to have other’s understand our grief. As it was, we endured a lot of hurtful things being said to us by people who didn’t understand.

It’s important to connect with others when grieving the loss of a loved one because it helped me work through the emotions I was experiencing. And they could encourage me. I’ve had a continuous support of prayer through Christian friends since my husband died. It’s made an impact on my life!

It is important to connect with others when you’re grieving the loss of a loved one so you can discuss your feelings with others that have gone or are going through some of the same things you are going through. The kind of support that is most helpful to me is hearing from those who understand what I’m feeling. I am currently grieving the loss of my husband, and I am reaching out to other widows. Shelby

I am not currently griefing this kind of loss. In the past, it had been my sisters bible study group and my siblings that had supported me to journey on.
