Why is prayer about more than simply requests or answers?

Prayer is about developing a relationship with God. So we can have better relationships with fellow humans.

It’s about building a relationship with God. We pray to get to know Him. To get know what His will is for us. When we do that, then we’ll understand why he does not answer our prayers.

God wants a relationship with us. I get the idea that prayer is mostly about getting to know Him, being obedient to Him and worshiping Him. I think in discussing with Him my petitions, He can mold my heart to love Him and others more. It is more than amazing that I can talk to God. Prayer is still a mystery to me, though. I feel sad that my faith is weak. I feel sad when I question God.

Prayer is more than just getting our prayers met. We should be more concerned about God’s will.

Because its a relationship with God. He desires for us to come to Him with everything. Rely on Him and not ourselves.
