Why is prayer about more than simply requests or answers?

First and foremost, we must know the reasons why we pray. We pray because God commands us to pray (Philippians 4:6-7), and a prayer is also a form of serving God (Luke 2:36-38) and obeying Him. 4:6-7). Praying is another way of how God blesses others through our prayers.
Prayer also demonstrates our faith and trust in God and our intimate relationship with the Creator. Though prayer is not merely about answers, praying does make a difference in the course of human life. -
Prayer is meant to bring us into relationship with God and to change how we interact with others. Neither of these is reliant upon requests or answers.

It is working out our faith walk with our Heavenly Father and our relationship with Him as we struggle and grow to become Christ-like as we sojourn on our earthly journey towards that fulfillment when we enter the kingdom for all eternity.

Because it is about a relationship with the One whom you are praying to. A relationship built on love and trust. When we have unanswered prayers we must know that the One whom we are praying to has our best interest at heart.
