Prayer is about relationship. So I really think it’s more important in how we conduct ourselves as children of God when waiting for the response to our prayers. Some prayers are instantly responded to, but what do we do when we don’t have the answer, or can’t see the answer? That’s where the meat of the relationship is formed, I think. That’s where we decide if we’re going to continue in faith or give up and lose hope. Will we continue to cry out to God about our desires? Because that’s where some times He needs us to be, engaged with Him, involving Him in the struggles, and that builds the relationship even stronger.

Prayer is more than requests and answers because sometimes the answer might not be forth coming. God doesn’t answer all of our prayers simply because we expect to receive an answer. His thoughts and ways are so much higher than ours. We should pray to God for a deeper understanding and relationship with Him.

God is not a vending machine. Prayer is about building a relationship and getting to know Him more.

I believe it is a time where we are getting to know our loving God. A bonding time. A time to just get lost in Jesus.

Prayer is much more than requests and answers. It is about spending time with the Lord, praying for the needs of others, and building a relationship with God. It is about learning to speak with God, getting to know his character.
