To consider that Revelation was written to address the 1st century readers issues is helpful. Understanding that the symbolism describes current conditions of the times is illuminating.

Honestly, I didn’t realize how much I didn’t understand of Revelations. There’s nothing to be afraid of. This is John’s visionary letter.

Revelation is written at another time prior to many modern inventions that we have. It is important to understand who John wrote Revelation for during the time. We can connect some of the principles to modern times. Remember that although we may change from one century to another, God never changes! His principles remain intact!
