In the case of Jesus, he only received half of his genetic make-up from his mother. However, the fact that Jesus only received half of his chromosomes, proves that his conception was truly a miraculous event. God is capable of anything and everything. Even though things might not make sense on Earth (surviving with only 23 chromosomes), God has plan and is able to execute it perfectly.
