Why is true prayer about more than just words?

It’s comforting to know that God truly doesn’t care about the words, but rather just wants us to talk to Him like we would a friend, including experiencing the emotions that would go along with that (crying, laughing, etc.

Because I relate it to being with those I love. Sometimes just being in their presence is just as important to me as our conversations.

Prayer is communion with God Almighty Creator of the universe. He wants us to love Him and the best way to love Him is to know Him by spending time with Him in His Word and through communion in prayer.

It sounds like true prayer is beyond words and into our deepest being where God can see the real us. And it is there we can bear all to the Father.
