It’s our heart posture. You cannot fool God and He will not be mocked. He sees what’s really going on inside and when we admit our wrongs, our grief and even our happiness to Him, He honors that and begins to work in us and through us.

True prayer includes our state of heart and mind. It goes beyond just saying the words. It encompasses our emotions, and for me, oftentimes it includes my desperation to connect with God.

True prayer is about relationship with God. Learn to fellowship with Him, know Him, be quiet, and listen to the Holy Spirit.

A relationship with God requires more than just me being in the driver’s seat. Listening and praising are also part of my time with Him. Allowing the Holy Spirit to lead and guide in prayer is so beautiful.
