To neglect that God created the Heaven’s, Earth and Man is not believe the scriptures. Failure to believe one part, makes room for doubt in the whole of scripture.

It is important that our students understand that there is a Creator who established the world and all that is in it, and that He continues to be active and sovereign over that world. There are absolute rules that govern the physical and spiritual realm. Without this understanding, students have no basis for determining truth or how they should live. If life is an accident, it has no meaning.

What I believe about creation is important as a Christian educator because it is the basis of my belief system. This drives the decisions I make and the lens through which I view education. I want my students to know there is a creator and that He loves them. They need to know the creation mandate especially in my course (science). This is crucial to their understanding of the world around them.

I believe that creation is the foundation. If we don’t accept the book of Genesis then can we really accept any part of the Bible. Creation is a key concept in really embracing our faith and trusting that the Bible is truth.

I want to be able to teach my students the truths in the Bible. Creation is one of those truths.
