Therefor, my beliefs about creation will determine what I believe about myself and my students and my purpose in teaching them. It is also important because math is the exploration into Gods orderly design of the universe and thus the topic of creation and the beginning of the world will naturally come up as we delve into the precision with which the world functions and exists.

God knew they were going to be born where, when and with what parents and siblings (or no siblings).

What we believe about the world and our place in the world will affect how we teach and deliver lessons to our students. As a Christian it’s important, because it reveals Who/what I put my trust in…. As a Christian, it is (and should be) God. As a Christian educator, I can’t just refer to the bible in SOME matters as I see fit; I should refer to it in all matters. If I take my walk seriously as a Christian, but hold secular worldviews, how am I any different than the world? I can’t be a Christian educator without trusting Christian doctrine, and this includes creation.
