What I believe about creation shapes my worldview. What I believe I pass down to my students. It is important that I believe that God created the world as Genesis 1:1 tells us and that I help students understand how important it is that we begin science with that right thinking. God is a god of order and purpose not chaos. His fingerprint is all over this world and we need to help students see it. Genesis and creation are the answers to a lot of life’s big questions and I want students to know that and trust God’s Word as they ponder those questions.

The Bible tells us that we are here because a loving God created us and this world. Based on that foundation, I can grow my faith and fulfill God’s plan for me. Without that foundation, I might be tempted to behave as if I were here by chance and nothing really matters.

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth”. If I believe anything different or teach anything different, my role as Christian educator is not Christian. It is part of God’s Word and it is truth.

What I believe about creation is important to my role as an Christian educator because I have a huge responsibility in shaping the hearts and minds of my students. It is important that what I believe is Biblical and based on truth.

What I think about creation is important because it is the background of why I am here, why the world is here, and why everything we have exists.
