Why is what you believe about creation important to your role as a Christian educator?

My believe about creation improves the thinking skills of my students because this create an awareness that we are part of the work of God.

It is important because I will consciously or unconsciously pass my beliefs down to my students. Whatever I teach will influence the minds of my students and I need to be careful because those “who teach will be judged [by God] with greater strictness”(James 3:1).

Creation shows when and how things were created by God and it is clearly explained in the bible for that is what helps my believe as Christian educator.

My beliefs about creation are important because there are other worldviews that explain creation as an accident and place human beings as “just another animal.” My lessons and actions in the classroom should reflect that humans are uniquely created in God’s image. A benevolent God created all living things and placed men and women here as stewards of the Earth.

The truth of Genesis, that we are created by God in His image, brings hope and purpose to our lives. The Bible says that Jesus was, “slain from the foundation of the earth”, because God knew that mankind would fall into sin and need a Savior to be restored to relationship with Him. If we were all here by accident, there would be no real purpose to life, morals, or religions.
