Why is what you believe about creation important to your role as a Christian educator?

As a Christian educator, I need to know that you believe. If you don’t believe that God created the world, then does that mean that you don’t believe other parts of the Scripture. It is important because it is an important part of your faith. If you believe that the Bible is truth, what to you believe is in accordance with Scripture.

The Bible is very clear, maybe not specific, but clear on how the Earth was created. We are not here by chance and accident. We were not formed out of chaos as modern science would suggest. We were created in an orderly, loving, and purposeful way. This changes so much about how we view the world. This is what we need to teach our students. In order to effectively answer all their questions about science and creation (because they have a lot) we first need to have a clear view of what we believe and why.

My belief in creation as part of the 100% true Word of God is a vital part of my identity in Christ. If I only believe parts of the Bible, then the authenticity of Christ as God the Son could be put into question as one of those parts that isn’t true. So I believe the Bible in its entirety. This is the foundation and reason for my ministry in the Christian school.
