It is important because a big part of our job is to share the Gospel with our students, and Creation is the beginning of it all. Believing that God created the Universe and everything upon it, including humans in His image, impacts how I teach, what I teach, how I interact with my students and colleagues. If I were to believe differently, my beliefs would influence those areas in my job as a teacher and my personal life as well.

It can inform the way I view people and therefore students.. Dr. Black seems to imply that a specific view is more negative and harmful than the other but I disagree.

Creation tells about the beginning of God’s relationship with mankind and outlines His desire (and plan) to maintain that loving relationship with us.

This truly goes back to the previous lesson. It hinges on what we believe about Scripture and its place in what we teach. If we believe that all Scripture is from God, that it is His Word to us, then we have to believe and teach creation to our students. What be believe about creation has to come from Genesis 1. Many debate about what a day is to God and what it means in this part of history, but many are theories that try to incorporate common beliefs of the times. We MUST look at what it says and what we know from Scripture to determine what and how we will teach what we KNOW to our students.

It is very important that all Christian educators understand and believe in our creation of existence so we can teach our students the entire truth of God’s creation .
