We wouldn’t understand how crucial , how important Jesus death and resurrection is for us . Man heart is depraved and cannot hope to approach a holy God on his own. It shows to what extent God loves and desires reconciliation with humanity.

If we do not know the beginning of the story, it is much harder to understand the ending.

It shows us how people were before Jesus. We need to know the whole story to shape and discover who we are and what we were rescued from.

We would lack a lot of context of NT writings because there are many references, themes, ideas, etc. that are rooted in OT writings and culture.

The New Testament would be difficult to understand without knowledge of the Old Testament. The Old Testament is the foundation for the New Testament. We need the story of creation. We need to know how evil came about. We need the prophecies.
