You cannot understand a need for the savior if you don’t understand where sin originated. Because of sin, we have been separated so we need to know the old testament nee for Jesus.

The Old Testament tells us about the character of God, God’s relationship with people, and lays the foundation of our faith and foundation for bibilcal prophecy.

The lack of the knowledge of the Old Testament create the lack of understanding the whole picture of the Bible. It would create a gap of knowledge that licks the Old Testament and the New Testament.

The Old Testament is so important because it lays the foundation for the New Testament and the life and purpose of Jesus Christ.

I believe that if we were to skip over the Ot, we wouldn’t be able to understand all of God’s characteristics or who God made us to be. I believe that it also shows the cycle of people falling into sin and needing a sacrifice, setting up Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. Lastly, it shows God’s hatred towards sin and why He has to separate people into heaven or hell, because He can not by nature be in the presence of sin
