Why would a lack of knowledge of the Old Testament weaken our understanding of the New Testament?

We don’t get the full picture. We don’t understand the New Tenement without the Old Testament.

A lack of knowledge of the Old Testament might weaken our understanding of the New Testament because we need to see how the world was in the Old Testaments to truly appreciate the new beginnings in the New Testament.

Like building a house, if the foundation is weak, then whatever structure is built on that foundation can never be stronger or lasting. The more we know about the Old Testament, the better we will understand and applies Jesus’ teachings tour everyday lives.
