The Old Testament is the Story of God and the foundation of how the world was created and the coming of the Messiah. It introduces us to the rich foundations of the 39 books divided into 3 parts: history, poetry and prophecy. Knowing the Old Testament will help us understand the New Testament in a better way.

The Old Testament is the history of the world and God’s people. It explains the beginning of the world and the introduction of sin into the world. It demonstrates our need for a Savior and promises the coming of the Savior. Those promises are fulfilled in the New Testament times. The New Testament is made richer by understanding the Old Testament better.
