A lack of knowledge of the Old Testament weakens our understanding of the New Testament because in order to understand where you are going, you have to understand where you came from. The Old Testament is the foundation of the Bible and gives us information on how we came into existence, why we are here and what happened after we were created. As Christians, the Old Testament is our spiritual heritage.

The Old Testament is the foundation. It predicts the things to come in the New Testament.
For me – I like to go into the Old Testament and highlight when I see Jesus Christ in scriptures I read. -
How can we understand why everything?
We need to know the beginning, who Gos is.
We need to know what happened- history of mankind
We need to know why Jesus had to come -
You need to know the beginning (Old Testament) just like all stories… it’s the foundation, the history.
