If we did not know the history of where we came from or what lead up to Jesus’s coming or how it applied to our lives now we would miss out on some of the greatest blessings and knowledge available to us today.

We are missing out on generations of stories and scripture that point to Jesus and why he had to come rescue us.
-
It would weaken because majority of the Bible lineage and history come from Old Testament. So if you don’t know how things got to be before reading the New Testament It can get confusing.

Without a full understanding of the Old Testament, you cannot thoroughly grasp the message of the New Testament. All of the prophecies fulfilled in the New Testament would be meaningless to us if we had no prior knowledge of the Old Testament.

By having a lack of understanding and knowledge of the Old Testament, the New Testament would become more difficult to understand because Jesus makes references to the Old Testament during His ministry.
