The fact that we are “Spiritual Spenders” really spoke to me. It was also very challenging and revealing because I’ve knowingly mishandled God’s money, and it took me losing a significant amount of it to realize that it wasn’t mine to mishandle in the first place. Had I truly surrendered it all to God, I don’t think I would’ve lost it, but we live and hopefully we(I) learn

The Scriptural examples really stand out in a way that I hadn’t thought of when I didn’t apply it to my finances and just thought it was about my witness and testimony. Very interesting it applies to finances as well

whats interesting is its 2350 bible versus on money and financial decisions

The mindset of giving over my financial decisions to God is a powerful and life changing way of thinking and living. It is definitely something that I would like to improve on in my daily life. Thinking about what God would think before each decision would leave less room for financial error.

The entire thing was challenging to me, but the part that stood out was the “GOD OWNS EVERYTHING”. The most convicting part to me was the “three conversions part”, which talked about the conversion of the heart, mind, and pocketbook. I absolutely loved that quote, and will definitely be using it in a future sermon or study.

The act of hoarding money for one’s own self gratification.
-
Many people do not believe in God and have made money and possessions their god.
They have no mind for Jesus and usually take His name in vain.
-
Even Christian’s have trouble handling money. Money is a big temptation in our lives and it can lead us to buying and spending that God does not want us to spend on.
