I would agree with Dr. Black’s statement because even though each human being is an image bearer of God that doesn’t mean each person is called to follow Christ, who embodied all of God’s wisdom.

I agree with the statement. The Bible shows us that we are filled with His Spirit when we believe in Him and without His Spirit we are living in darkness and are enemies of God. Without the Holy Spirit living inside us, we have hearts of stone and cannot see, understand, or love the way God intends.

I agree with this statement! The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, so without that fear, how can we truly love wisdom? A believer, a follower of Christ are the only ones who are able to truly fear God and thus love true wisdom as God created.

I agree with the lecturer. Logically, if I believe Psalms 111:10 which says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom:”…, which I do believe then only having a true fear of God can wisdom be cultivated. A fear of God is the foundation to the building of wisdom.

I agree and disagree. Certainly, a believer has a new lens at their disposal from which to view (and love) wisdom. However, I feel that my heart has always longed for wisdom (before and after giving my life to Christ) and I have always loved the wisdom I can access from the Bible. Prior to being a believer, it was difficult to gain wisdom about myself due to pride or other sin, where as now I humbly accept (and love!) when my ways are corrected through wisdom.
