Currently, as a mom and school admin, I prescribe to Growth Mindset. I do believe I can grow and learn at any age. I can work toward goals and try new things, without worry of failure. I teach my teachers and students that “challenges help me grow” and “feedback is constructive and helpful”. I model these same mindsets and practice them.

I try to focus on what I can learn from a course rather than how much time it’s taking. I take notes while I read or listen to material.
-
When I’m learning something new, I try to view the challenges and failure(s) I experience as new opportunities to grow- instead of as hangups or reasons to quit. I remind myself often that I am growing and getting better (at whatever challenge I’m facing) and do my best to avoid negative thinking.
