For me, contemporary application stands out the most because as Christians we are to carry out the great commission in a way that reaches people right where they are.

The question that stands out to me is the one of Historical Background. This is significant to determine the context of the passage. Learning the context brings light to the other questions.

Historical background, Interpretation, Theology, and Contemporary applications.

Historical background is important to understand who the author is and what are the worldly circumstances that he lives under. This is important when studying the book of Revelation for sure.

The question of historical background. I believe these type of questions will allow me to better understand where the writer is coming from and will help me understand the scripture better. i don’t want to misinterpret scripture.
