It is difficult to pick just one of the four types because I think they are all equally important, but I will focus mostly on contemporary application. This type of question will, perhaps, be most relevant to myself and my students. I teach English, but as I work to integrate the Bible into my lessons, I often find myself wondering if the information is relevant and applicable to my students in this day and age. I believe God’s truth is relevant to all cultures and time periods, but I want to learn more about how to approach this with students who are nearing adulthood.

Contemporary application stands out to me the most. I want to know how it applies to me.

Contemporary application is the most important question to me. Asking: “How does this apply to me?” helps my study of the New Testament by striving to the apply the New Testament in every aspect of my life.

The Contemporary Application stood out for me. I feel that the New Testament books of the Bible are very relational since they address the reader and requires an active response as well.

This is a toss-up between historical background and contemporary application. As a history teacher, I value and find understanding when historical context is given to the Bible. However, the most important thing is how to apply it to everyday life.
